ABC Music - Fantastic A - Z Instrument identifier map for little kids.  Complete in English and Espanol!  Click a Letter and learn about all the instruments that start with that letter!  Wonderful for little ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HearItNoteIt IQ - Ear training for the young musician.  Excellent resource for young ones needing to practice early ear training excercises.

Mynotegames - From the creator of HearIt NoteIt comes an EXPLOSIVE app containing tons of games to help with music theory. One of my favorite developers for the Elementary music classroom.

 

 

 

Steinway Etude - Neat little player piano app that can also show you the sheet music for a song while it's playing and even highlights the measure or notes currently playing!  Excellent resource for the budding piano student who wants to see and hear how harder music is played.

Apps on Windows and Mac!  Don't forget to
install Bluestacks Cloud Connect on your Android Smartphone to "push" the apps to your computer. Follow the instructions!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Bluestacks - BlueStacks App Player lets you run apps from your phone fast and fullscreen on Windows and Mac.  Basically, this emulator will let you sync Apps from your Android Phone and allows you to "run" them on a PC or Mac rather easily.  Reeeaally handy. It's in Beta so it's not perfect but at least its a way to run Android on a computer.  You can even connect and use standard USB PC gaming controllers from Logitech etc for ultimate control.

My preferred browser for some neat online music links is Google Chrome.  Chrome also has the ability to save apps to it's own personalized page by clicking on "new tab."  First Download Google Chrome.  Have a parent sign in with a Google ID if needed.  Open a "new" tab and then go to the Web Store in the lower right hand corner to find these really neat apps!
