Thank you for your continued patience

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year.

Throughout we have used two guiding questions:

1. How do we keep students, educators, and community members as safe as possible?

2. How do we ensure each student is learning and being supported regardless of the learning environment?

Your feedback has been and continues to be very important to us as we work to meet the needs of students and families during this unprecedented time.

Please know that the details of our two learning environment options "on-site learning" and "rigorous remote learning" will be further developed by the teaching staff when they report back from summer break.

To help with those plans, we are asking families to choose which learning environment you want your child to participate in during the 2020-2021 school year at this link https://forms.gle/hjgPUcugSVfNie2t9. Please complete one form for each enrolled student.

In the interest of consistency, we are asking that the decision of your child’s learning environment not change until the second semester. However, we want this decision to be a good fit for students and families. During the first 3 weeks of school, parents will have the opportunity to reconsider their child’s initial placement.

We would appreciate having this completed by Friday, August 7th.

Note: Remote Learning (parent choice) during the 2020-2021 school year will be different from last spring's emergency efforts and will require daily contact between student(s) and teacher(s) through web conferencing and/or telephone. Students and parents will also be required to complete and maintain a daily log that will need to be submitted to the school. Students will receive rigorous, high-quality instruction, and we will assess student learning using the same standards and competencies as “on-site” students.

Please know that ALL school plans are subject to change as we continually adjust to the changing nature of our current pandemic.
